A vintage piece of Egyptian travel history.
Imagine arriving in Luxor after a long journey up the Nile, you step onto the terrace of the Winter Palace and look across the river toward a landscape that had already been ancient for thousands of years. Your days will be spent exploring Karnak, the Valley of the Kings and the temples along the Nile before returning to the hotel as the desert light begins to fade. This vintage luggage label comes from an era when a trip to Egypt wasn't simply a vacation — it was an expedition.
Opened in 1907 on the banks of the Nile, the Winter Palace became part of the great age of Egyptian travel and exploration. Its story is intertwined with one of archaeology's most famous discoveries: Lord Carnarvon was a regular guest, and after Howard Carter's discovery of Tutankhamun's tomb in 1922, the hotel became a gathering place for journalists and travelers following the unfolding story.
This print is reproduced from a high-resolution scan of an original vintage luggage label, preserving the typography, color and subtle character of the original piece.
Available unframed or professionally framed in your choice of Black Premium Oak or Black Premium Metal.
